Join me in Sicily in October-November

Here’s a photo I took a few years ago of the Saturday market in Siracusa, that wonderful town tucked into the southeast corner of  Sicily. I’ll be visiting here again in a few weeks, getting ready for a great trip to Sicily in October and November. The fall trip will start off at Regaleali, and five or six days with Fabrizia Lanza at her cooking school, then go on to travel around southeastern Sicily, visiting Piazza Armerina, Modica, Siracusa, Catania, along the coast and ending up on the slopes of Etna to taste some of the fabulous wines they’re creating now. Let me know if you’d like to join us and I’ll send you more information.

Hi Nancy – I’ve been a fan ever since your book, The Flavors of Puglia, was released. Spaghetti with Oven Roasted Tomatoes hooked me good.

So we’re in the planning stages for a fall trip to Europe. Puglia and Sicily are both on my radar along with Dubrovnik. We’ve been to Italy eight times but the furthest south we’ve ever been was Paestum last year when we rented a villa in Sorrento and did day trips from there.

I looked at the website for Masseria Fumarola where you’ll be. Looks very nice and with good prices for that quality. We might try to book there.

What’s the story on your Sicily program and would you have any other suggestions.

This trip will be different because I got lucky and won the grand prize in a Travel and Leisure Sweepstakes. The grand prize is a $10,000 trip anywhere in the world. I’m thinking Sicily, Puglia, and Dubrovnik for about three weeks. One requirement that they have is that everything must be booked through a travel agent that they select.

    Look forward to your reply

    Best regards
