Heading Down East, that is, beyond the Penobscot River, on a sunny summer day when skies are blue and a briny onshore breeze is stirring the tops of the pointed firs, make a right turn on 175 and you might with luck come across this Maine treasure: where you can order up a fine lobster roll or a lobster salad plate, fried clams and French fries (fried onion rings also said to be phenomenal).
Sit by the reversing falls of the Bagaduce River (they surge back and forth with the tide)
