News from the Food Writing Workshop

The Craft of Writing Food: I’m happy to announce four guest speakers who will join us at various times during the week-long food writing workshop I’m chairing at Maine Media Workshops in Rockport, Maine, in July. They are:

  • Kathleen Fleury, editor in chief of Downeast magazine;
  • Ed Behr founding editor of The Art of Eating on-line quarterly and author of many books about food;
  • Mitchell Davis, vice-president of the James Beard Foundation and also author of a number of cookbooks (Mitchell also has a PhD in food studies from New York University);
  • and Kerry Flood Cubas who will talk with us about developing brand and marketing strategies to promote food writing.
